Hi ChainPoint's...

Where has this year gone....?

We say this every year don't we? But it is true isn't it... Seems like as soon as the new years celebrations end, it’s time to do it again. It's good we can say it though; the alternative wouldn’t be so pleasant.

The great thing about year-end is the Holiday(s) that go along with it. We are so blessed again this year to be given the opportunity to freely Worship and Celebrate our God during this season. America was built on this ability! With this given freedom we are also proud to honor our God and our Country. A huge thank you to those who serve and have served in our military to keep it this way.

Laura and I wish for you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

20 Years - 2011 marks the 20th year for Forest Applications Training, Inc. It has been an awesome ride to here…. I want to thank all of our fantastic organizers, participants and industry friends who have made it possible. Who would have thought that chain saw operations training would or could be going on so long...? It's an unbelievable tool with super people on the handles!

California - Last week in California was a blast. The training was really great with Santa Clara County and the weather allowed us to complete the work for the new Elvex videos. They are going to be unique works of art, and educational too, with the beautiful redwoods as the stage.

2011 Shows - Question for you all.... we are looking to attend several industry and or equipment shows in 2011. What shows do you attend? What would be the best event(s) to attend to discuss chainsaw applications, PPE and safety with attendees? Let me know and I hope to see you there... Send Show suggestions to timard@forestapps.com .

Calendar- The new listing of events will be going up on our website calendar in the next few days. It's going to be a busy year of training travel and we are looking forward to seeing you at an event close to your place... Click Events from our website homepage.

Consultation - Consultative services for design of training programs for your outdoor power equipment operators, the best way to train their employees in power equipment operations (chainsaw, Brushcutters and Zero Turn Mowers), safety and applications. Just so you know Forest Applications Training has worked with several companies and organizations over the years, setting up training systems to maximize their effectiveness in reaching and educating their associates. Tim's experience in "getting results" in training adults in the workplace is second to none. Let us discuss with you the possibilities for your training systems. Contact Laura@ForestApps.com to discuss setting up our Consultative Training Services.

ForestApps eBook - Many of you are probably picking up an eBook reader from under the tree this year. Make sure to fill your library with a version of the "The Complete Guide to Chainsaw Safety and Directional Felling". Its available from Barnes and Noble and our website eStore for download. See the links on our homepage....

eStore - If you need TruFuel, sharpening tools or PPE items for yourself, crews or upcoming training, visit our endorsed products links and our eStore. Thank you for your patronage! eStore

Health - It's been two years since my bout with colon cancer and every Christmas I see is more of a blessing to me! Yes, a very important rhyme. I Praise God for all of our family's health! With four kids and eight grand babies that is saying a bunch.

Please keep Laura in your thoughts and prayers as she is going in for some surgery to repair a couple small hernias from previous surgery. She will be in Dec 27th for a three-day visit.

Article - This week's article is an older one but I'm off till January... Good to plan for the storm though... enjoy!
